Ashlee + Mike at the CocoPlum

04.12.2024

I’m not one to really honor people vocally but I am definitely known to write my heart and emotions out. Mike and I met in 2021 at a dinner our church puts together and we became friends instantly. If we can roast each other and laugh without getting offended, then I’ll adopt you as a friend forever.

I’m going to try to keep it pretty short and sweet. Mike’s one of the few guy friends I know I can count on for advice or if I need help. In the last three years we both watched each other go through a couple of failed relationships and dates, but when he met Ashlee we all knew it was different. She is the definition of a girl with class and grace but most importantly extremely secure in who God has called her to be, and it shows. Honestly, I couldn’t have seen him with a girl that’s more perfect for him than she is.

I felt honored when Mike reached out and asked me to help with their wedding planning. Even more so when they asked me to photograph it. One of my favorite things to witness during their wedding was the people that prayed for their marriage during the ceremony. There’s something so special in seeing your friends support you through prayer as you begin your marriage.

Ashlee and Mike’s story is one of those stories that should fill everyone with hope. Hope that when God works, He does it when you least expect it and in a slow-fast kind of way. Ultimately, “marriage is the greatest instrument of sanctification,” meant to teach others how to be more like Jesus and to bring honor and glory to God.

Here’s a sneak peek of their Wedding that took place at the Mayfair Hotel for the First Look and The CocoPlum Woman’s Club for ceremony and reception.

I’m Andrea, a wedding photographer based in Miami and drawn to moments that feel honest, unforced, and deeply human. For over a decade, I have had the honor of documenting weddings with a focus on presence, paying close attention to the quiet exchanges, the in-between moments, and the emotional rhythm of the day. My approach is rooted in creating an experience that feels calm, thoughtful, and supportive so couples can remain fully present while their story unfolds naturally. The result is imagery that feels timeless, personal, and meaningful for years to come.
