I’ve always said it, I enjoy photographing my friends’ weddings and special moments the most. Not that I don’t love photographing clients but this is exactly why I put an emphasis on treating my clients like I do my friends. I want to make sure I get to know my couples on a deeper level so that I can capture them in an authentic way. We want to tell your story not ours… cue this Sailboat engagement session.
Jennifer and I went to high school together and we’ve been through a lot, but this is a moment I have waited for… forever. I couldn’t wait to see her fall in love and running on the way to the altar.
When we spoke about her engagement session she had a completely different idea in mind. Being that she loves going to the Keys she wanted to do her engagement session at Playa Largo. While we love the Florida Keys we spoke about her vision and brainstormed to do something different. Luckily, Janelle and I were able to convince her to do something different and rent a sailboat for a few hours.
She’ll already be getting married at Sale e Pepe along the beach in Marco Island so switching it up for the engagement session will give her a variety of photos to choose from while keeping the theme consistent. Thankfully, she trusted us enough to get on a sailboat on rainy day and it made for the most perfect photos.
We continued her engagement session with a rainy beach shoot that we’ll be sharing in part 2 for our Wedding Wednesday post. So stay tuned for that.
Check out the photos below and thank you to Miami Catamaran for being so patient with the weather and delays. If an engagement session is something you would like to do before your wedding, contact us today.
