ShowIt +Sites for Photographers

I love meeting other wedding photographers. Despite what many believe, there’s always enough work for everybody and we can all succeed if we help each other. We all have different styles, ideal clients and goals and if we would see each other as a community we would all be better and grow together.

After meeting a fellow vendor, their website is the first thing I analyze, along with their marketing. I was having a conversation with a friend regarding websites and I explained the reasons why I committed to ShowIt. If you’re looking into redoing yours as we approach engagement season, these tips will probably benefit you.

+Sites: Investment page

If you believe in establishing a relationship with your client before they look at your price tag, pay close attention. So you receive a new lead through your contact form and they want prices, right? You now have to respond to the email with a price list but, PDFs are outdated, so what is the next best choice? A +Site through ShowIt.

Think about it this way… you receive a lead, it goes to your inbox, but that confirmation message they receive when they hit submit has a link, it can say investment.yourwebsite.com. Your pricelist now lives on a subdomain on your website. This pricelist will also match your website and branding making it all look cohesive and pretty. You can also share this +Site with your favorite wedding planners so that they can always have your most updated prices to share with their couples.

Creating a system on ShowIt is easy and will take the load off of you in certain areas of your business.

You can find this template by Davey + Krista on the ShowIt add-ons section

The Experience:

You finally booked a wedding with a client of your dreams! Now you have to make the value and experience worth it, but that sounds like a ton of work right? Wrong!

You might remember my Client Welcome Guides, they were pretty but so much money. Every time I wanted to adjust my prices I had to get things printed all over again. So during the 2020 pandemic I switched to everything digital and I haven’t looked back.

Through the +Sites you can build a digital Client Welcome Guide that shares tips and tricks you want your client to be aware of. This can include: a guide to your preferred vendors, engagement session info, album details and checklists so that they’re prepared on their wedding day. Davey and Krista have designed one of my favorite templates and you can find it HERE.

+Sites: Engagement Styling guide

By designing an Engagement Style guide on a +Site you’re able to make the work easier for you and the experience smoother for them. Your couple will have a ton of questions such as:

  • Engagement Session locations
  • Outfits
  • Props
  • How to prepare.

+Sites: Album page

If you offer albums and don’t have a storefront, a +Site guiding your clients through the Album selection process will make your life easier. Again, Davey and Krista have designed a great template (shown below) and sell it for only $49. Find it HERE. Remember all of these sites can have their own private subdomain ( albums.yourwebsite.com) that only your clients have access to.

and so much more… the possibilities are endless

As a result of creating +Sites, you will create a cohesive system of booking and an amazing experience for your couples. And if you have any questions just send me an email, I’ll be happy to help.

You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.
